What you do matters // Hello Monday

As we recover from Thanksgiving, chances are the work load will be heavy this week since most of us had a few days off. So it will be easy to focus on what HAS to be done rather than WHY we do what we do.

We work and devote our lives to a profession or employer because we want to provide for our families, because we have talents and gifts, and because deep down we all want to be successful.

Success is a word that carries an array of emotions.
For each of us the word means something completely different based upon our own set of goals and personal drive.

Either way this week as we think about all we have to get done, let’s look at it differently. I pray you love you’re job and you see the bigger picture and the role you play in making an impact on this earth.

If you don’t… spend time asking why?

But as we work this week let’s reconnect with the idea of what we do MATTERS. Even if it only matters to us. Even if it only matters to our families.

It matters.

Success must be tied to what matters most to us. If not, it’s just a matter of time until we get bored and want to do something different, or even worse we get burned out because we are not happy.

This week when the load is heavy, let’s remember why we get to do what we do.

Because what we do matters.

And if it matters to us, we will be successful.

  1. Great blog. Very potent. It’s so easy to get caught up in the mundane of life that we lose sight that as you said, how the small things matter. Thank you for the great reminder to find purpose in everything.
