I occasionally write about books I’ve recently read and enjoyed. Some of them I get for free because I blog about them and share them with you guys. Some of them I’d recommend you purchasing and others not so much.
Torn quickly became one of my top 5 books of all time. It’s the second book of Jud’s I’ve read, but this book was on a different level. It’s entire theme is helping followers of Jesus find God in times of heartache and pain. Torn is about how to trust God when we find our lives TORN.
Jud helps remind us that no matter the level of pain, sickness, or loss – God’s watchful eye and compassion never leaves us.
2 Corinthians 1:5 (NIV)
For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.
Our God loves in a way that is so distinct and unique that living in our culture, it almost appears unbelievable.
With God we can know: The more pain we experience, the more comfort He shows.
Whether you are in a good place or going through hell, this is a must read. Jud not only helps lead a conversation of how to trust God when life is TORN, but also how to share that struggle.
We are all in a fight. A fight for joy. And everything is trying to defeat us.
But nothing is greater than His love.
Go grab a copy you won’t regret it…
