Book Review: Radical By David Platt

Radical By David Platt is now one of my top 5 personal favorite books of all time. David Platt is an inspirational speaker and leader who has a heart to see America live God’s dream for their lives rather than the traditional “American Dream” of materialism. In the book he stretches the reader to dig deep into theological matters of spirituality, sharing how God created us to show His love to the world. He shares with the reader the power of the gospel and why we must give our all to the spreading of God’s love no matter the cost. In the book He shares personal stories of the persecuted church from all over the world and stories of how families from his church have given it all to sharing Christ with the world.  As well, Platt empowers the reader to live the dream; they can change the world with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ no matter the cost. It’s God’s vision for His people…

Platt shares his journey to radically give his life and lead his church in the ways of God. It’s a convicting and an inspiring read for all who call Jesus Lord.

At the end he gives the reader an invitation to take part in their own Radical Experiment for one year by vowing to pray for the entire world, read through the Bible, sacrifice for a specific purpose, spend time in a context that is new and different, and give our lives away for the sake of others.

Disclaimer:I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.
