In His hands…

Psalm 31:14-15 But I am trusting you, O Lord, saying, “You are my God!” My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly.

Sometimes the reflections found in the books of Psalms can be overwhelming to say the least. Sometimes its difficult to know where to jump in. What God shows us in the midst of these songs and poems are relevant strengths and truths to live a life worth living.

Right now we are in the midst of the Christmas Season so the story of Jesus needs to be fresh on our minds. As David looked for strength in his life the people of Israel were just the same. The people of Israel prayed for a Messiah because of their enslavement for so many years.  Just as we pray for a Messiah daily to save us from the enslavement sin so naturally tries to have over on our lives.

In this particular Psalm we find David proclaiming to the world his devotion to God based on God’s devotion to him. Not only is this his source to endure the ups and downs of life, he knows without a doubt “his future is in HIS hands”. This wasn’t a gift from God just for David, but for everyone of us…

No matter the time of year or difficultly we might find ourself in. Our future is in HIS hands….

So lets live like it…                                                                                                                             Lets fight like it…                                                                                                                             Lets worship like it…

No matter what we are going through….                                                                                     No matter what we are doing…                                                                                                       No matter where we are going….

Our future is in HIS hands…
